BOI Fair 2011 has continued to draw huge public attention with a heavy flow of visiting students and college students from educational institutions and schools. The event’s top three favorites appear to be Royal Pavilion, Thailand Pavilion, and BOI Pavilion.
Ms. Duangjai Asawachintachit, deputy secretary-general of the Board of Investment (BOI), said BOI Fair 2011 does not only draw attention from local and international investors, businessmen, civil servants, and interested people, abut a great number of students also has expressed strong interest in contacting BOI to pay a visit. Since its opening day starting 5 January onto 10 January 2012, there have been 35 schools and educational institutions, divided into 70 groups with 3,500 students, visiting
BOI Fair 2011.
The top three most favorite pavilions are Royal Pavilion, Thailand Pavilion, and BOI Pavilion. Royal Pavilion or Sala Satha Som features knowledge regarding His Majesty the King’s royal activities about soil, water, forests and humans. At Thailand Pavilion, its highlight is “Thongtos” Robot, made by Thai creators, who can interact with visitors in four languages. BOI Pavilion exhibits history of investment promotion from the past to present and a 4-dimension theatre for visitors.
“We are very happy that BOI Fair 2011 has helped provide knowledge for Thai youths. And we are even more appreciated to learn that after Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening ceremony of BOI Fair 2011, HRH told teachers at Chitralada School that BOI was a good event and it would be great to bring students to learn from the event. After that Chitralada School did bring teachers and students to visit BOI Fair 2011,” she said.
It’s expected that BOI Fair 2011 will draw a minimum of 15,000 students and more during weekends.
