The SUPPORT Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (Public Organization) or SACICT is delighted to organize the fifth edition of International Innovative Craft Fair 2016 (IICF 2016) under "The New Traditional" Concept. This year's show will welcome young craftster to showcase their fresh ideas to complement the new value creation on Thai arts and crafts design.
The fifth edition of the International Innovative Craft Fair 2016 is committing to support a holistic sustainable development of Thai handicraft industry. In addition, the International Innovative Craft Fair 2016 will be a remarkable platform for new faces in arts and crafts design world to showcase their skilled handcrafts. The fair will also present further business opportunity for arts and crafts designers. The IICF 2016 will be held from March 10-13, 2016 at Hall 101-102 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
There will be four exhibition zones -- "CRAFTY CREATION", "ETHNIC ACCENTS", "ASIAN OF THE WORLD" and "ART OF NATURE" in this four-day event.
In CRAFTY CREATION zone, young designers and crafters will exhibit their design works. Meanwhile, there will be an exhibition of skilled handcrafts with distinct ethnic or tribal flavors designed by successors of well-known handcraft designers in ETHNIC ACCENTS zone.
The ASEAN OF THE WORLD zone will feature a number of innovative crafts designed and created by Asian designers and other international exhibitors which will present a deep connection to the lands of their birth as well as the origin of their inspiration.
Last but not least, the ART OF NATURE zone will exhibit design works which are inspired by the nature world including sky, plants, stones and many more. In this zone, there will be an exhibition of finalists from the Innovative Craft Award 2016. More importantly, KHRAM PAVILION which is also located in the zone of the ART OF NATURE will present the development of local natural materials like leathers and "Khram" or blue colour which is extracted from local plants called "Khram".
